Xtra Time Web Desk : SC East Bengal’s poor season continued on Tuesday as they lost yet another match against Mumbai City FC by a margin of 1-0 in the Indian Super League.

The Islanders as usual were the favourites against an off form Red and Gold brigade who were just playing in order to finish off their poor campaign on a high.

Both the teams from the start played positive and attacking football with Des Buckingham’s team having the advantage in terms of ball possession. Mario Rivera’s team however put on a good fight against their opponents to keep the scoreline at 0-0 in the first half.

In the second half however, things started to change as Bipin Singh put Mumbai 1-0 ahead in the match on the 51st minute. The Torchbearers on the other hand, tried their level best in order to equalise but weren’t able to find that elusive goal, which ended the match in another loss for them.
