Xtra Time Web Desk: SC East Bengal captain Arindam Bhattacharya had to be rushed for an MRI scan after Saturday’s derby against ATK Mohun Bagan at Tilak Maidan. According to the SC East Bengal team management, the scan report is awaited until a final decision is taken on his availability in the upcoming game against Odisha FC on Tuesday.

Arindam seriously injured his knee trying to save a goal bound attack from Liston Colaco. He failed to grab the ball, only to see haplessly Colaco scoring the third goal for his side. There is no denying the fact that Arindam should be blamed for the goal. He was eventually substituted by the SC East Bengal team management due to injury. Suvam Sen came in as a substitute for Arindam.

There was much expectation from SC East Bengal fans on Arindam, who was the golden glove winner in ISL 2021 for ATK Mohun Bagan. Arindam turned out to be a villain for Red and Gold supporters, conceding three goals inside 23 minutes.
