ISL 2020-21: Edu Garcia extends his contract with ATK-Mohun Bagan for two years

XtraTime Web Desk: Spanish winger Edu Garcia has extended two years contract with Indian Super League outfit ATK-Mohun Bagan FC. Though his contract with the defending champions ended last season but due to his outstanding performance of last season, Head Coach Antonio Lopez Habas didn’t hesitate to sign the winger for two more seasons. ATK’s Roy Krishna was the highest scorer for the side with 15 goals in 21 matches, but Garcia was the key reason for ATK’s good show in the midfield.

Beside helping the forward to score goals, Edu scored 10 goals for his side in the last season. Due to COVID-19 pandemic the Government of India and the Health Ministry haven’t given any green signal of playing the foreign footballers in the Indian Super League, but the ATK officials have already signed many foreigners for the upcoming season.

Garcia looked very excited about dawning the Green and Maroon jersey in the next season.” I am very happy to continue playing in Kolkata and in the ISL for another two years. I am looking forward to wearing the Green & Maroon jersey and will give my best to the club,” said Garcia.
