Internet Desk: The new Hero Indian Super League franchise Jamshedpur is all set to rope on former Manchester United legend Steve Coppell as their first Head Coach. The 62 years old was appointed as the Head Coach of Kerala Blasters in the previous season and he did remarkably well to take his team to the final, where they had to finish as Runners-up.

The former Manchester City manager is expected to be appointed by this week itself as in the deadline to sign managers has been set to July 15 for the Indian Super League.

The Tata Group had interviewed several top coaches in the last few weeks and they initially chose Carlos Restrepo as their first boss.

But, the former Colombia Under-20 coach had been appointed by a Honduran club, named Olimpia only in June. Tata Group have opted to move for Coppell given that he is an experienced coach and also has done well in India.
