Ishan Kishan suffers an injury scare while batting in the nets at the Oval | WTC Final 2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team suffered an injury scare two days ahead of ICC World Test Championship Final 2023 as wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan got hit on his fore-arm while he was batting in the nets. The left hander got hit by a rising delivery from net bowler Aniket Chowdhury. He was seen in some sort of concerns and immediately came out of the nets.

The medical team of the Indian team was seen immediately attending Ishan. They applied some ice over the area he was hit and later also put a bandage. After few minutes Ishan was seen chatting with Shubman Gill. But the good thing for Ishan was he was seen holding two bats with the same hand as he walked out of the ground.

It will be interesting who keep wickets for the all-important WTC Final 2023. KS Bharat, who was originally in the test squad was seen keeping alongside the slip fielders Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane. Ishan on the other hand batted for almost half an hour.

With still couple more days before the final, it will be interesting whether KS Bharat gets another opportunity or Ishan Kishan gets the nod.

India are all set to face Australia in the World Test Championship final at the Oval starting from June 7.
