Will an upset and hurt Ravindra Jadeja to end ties with Chennai Super Kings? Report

Xtra Time Web Desk: Has Ravindra Jadeja played his last match for Chennai Super Kings? Well, the latest developments surrounding the all rounder and the franchise makes us believe that it might well be the beginning of an end to the healthy understanding between both parties. The relationship between Jadeja and CSK reached such a bitter stage that they unfollowed each other on social media.

According to reports, Jadeja is very upset & hurt at the manner in which the entire captaincy issue was handled. According to Jadeja, everything was too sudden and abrupt.

So, is the relationship between Ravindra Jadeja and Chennai Super Kings ending? Is it just the injury that saw the Sourashtra cricketer pulling himself out of IPL 2022?

Well, there are three reasons behind the damaging relationships between Jadeja and CSK. First and foremost is Jadeja was never made to believe that he was the boss as MS Dhoni made the important decisions on the field.

Second most important reason could have been how the CSK management handled the issue of captaincy. It was rather a hasty one feels many. After all you need to give time to settle down into the role and Jadeja was filling in the shoes of talisman MS Dhoni.

Jadeja alone shouldn’t be held responsible for Chennai Super Kings poor show inn the ongoing IPL 2022 season. It was a collective failure of the team. But in reality, the fingers were pointed at Jadeja by the CSK management.

The third reason was the decision by Jadeja to relinquish captain on the eve of Sunrisers Hyderabad match. It was informed in the media that ‘Jadeja has left captaincy to focus on his personal batting and bowling’. But the truth was something else.

According to reports, the CSK management felt Jadeja looked lethargic, subdued & unimaginative. He was not his usual confident self while leading the team.

It’s clear that despite CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan claims on Jadeja’s IPL 2022 pullout, ‘that there’s nothing more to it than his injury’ – there is something more to it. Whether it is the beginning of the end of a fruitful journey, remains to be seen.
