XtraTime Web Desk: Kolkata Knight Riders hard-hitting all-rounder Andre Russell has revealed he would end his career in Indian Premier League (IPL) career with the Knights. Few days Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli also expressed his willingness to play only for the Bangalore franchise until he hangs up his boots. According to De Russ, the experience of playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens is incomparable and he loves the adulation from the home fans. KKR CEO Venky Mysore was quick to respond to Russell’s wish to play for the franchise till the day he retires. Taking to twitter, Mysore said, “@Russell12A no doubt you will remain a Knight Rider until you retire from the game & beyond! #Superman”

The Jamaican has been one of the most explosive batsman for the purple army over the last few seasons in IPL. He has been a favourite with KKR fans. “Let me confess something – IPL is where I get the most goosebumps when I am playing cricket. I get that in the Caribbean Premier League as well, but when it comes to playing in the IPL, especially at Eden Gardens, there is no comparison to that crowd,” said Russell in an interview to Knights Unplugged. He added, “When I walk out before facing a ball, I have goosebumps all over me because of the welcome that I get. That’s pure love, and yes it puts pressure on me. But it’s a good kind of pressure.”
