Xtra Time Web Desk: At the coin toss held at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians' skipper Hardik Pandya faced a chorus of boos from the home crowd. This followed similar instances of booing in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, stemming from displeasure over his captaincy appointment, which replaced Rohit Sharma. Despite the hostile reception, broadcaster Sanjay Manjrekar intervened, urging the crowd to show respect and applause towards Hardik.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to field. However, as Hardik Pandya began to address the broadcaster, the echoes of boos reverberated throughout the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Nevertheless, Hardik remained composed, sporting a smile and choosing to overlook the crowd's reaction.

We always look forward to the future, need to follow the process. Looking forward to playing a brand of cricket everyone enjoys. Playing the same team."
