Xtra Time Web Desk: Delhi Capitals’ Prithvi Shaw finally came good with the bat as he scored his first fifty in ongoing IPL 2023 season. Prithvi smashed 54 off 38 balls which included seven hits to the fence and one six. He was also involved in an opening stand of 94 runs with captain David Warner. The talented batter from Mumbai reached his half century in just 36 balls. He was in a positive frame of mind hitting Rabada and Arshdeep for boundaries at the start.

Prithvi has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. With poor batting performances and an ongoing court case with Social Media influencer Sapna Gill, Shaw has been in big trouble in the past weeks. However, on Wednesday Prithvi made his way back into the Delhi Capitals squad with a scintillating half century.

Prithvi has scored only 101 runs from 8 matches in the ongoing IPL season. Much was expected from Prithvi but he failed to live up to the expectations. Delhi Capitals too failed to make it to the PlayOffs.

Times have been tough for Prithvi Shaw. After the young batter was accused of molesting social media influencer Sapna Gill, his form too on the pitch disappeared. And as a result Delhi Capitals immediately decided to drop Shaw from the playing XI.
