Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian Premier League franchise Lucknow Super Giants players will sport green and marron jersey for the upcoming IPL 2023 game against KKR on May 20 at Eden Gardens. It is learnt that Sanjeev Goenka owned franchise will wear green and maroon colours for the match. Mr Goenka, who hails from the city of Kolkata also owns Mohun Bagan Super Giants team who were recently crowned the champions of Indian Super League.

The likes of Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran, Quinton de Kock will walk into the Eden Gardens wearing the green and maroon jersey for the May 20 fixture. There have been instances when an IPL team sported a different colour jersey for a special cause. Royal Challengers Bangalore players recently wore green jersey as part of the “go green” initiative in the game against Rajasthan Royals at M Chinnaswamy stadium to spread awareness and need for a cleaner and greener environment.

Keeping in mind the huge fan base of Mohun Bagan Super Giants, the LSG management have decided to wear the green and maroon colours to get the support at the Eden Gardens. It will not be surprising if Eden Gardens witness more support for the Super Giants on May 20.
