Xtra time Web Desk: Bangladesh test captain Litton Das checked in at the Kolkata Knight Riders team hotel in Kolkata on Sunday. With Litton joining, KKR now have the all the overseas cricketers joining the squad this season. England opener Jason Roy arrived in India on Saturday. He headed straight to Ahmedabad after arriving in Delhi from London. The swashbuckling opener also trained with the KKR squad at the Narendra Modi Stadium on the eve of the match against Gujarat Titans.
Litton Das was part of the Bangladesh Test squad for the one-off test against Ireland in Dhaka which ended on Friday, April 7. KKR confirmed that the in-form top-order batter from Bangladesh will not be available for their 3rd match of IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans.
KKR will be available from the fourth match of the ongoing IPL season against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens on April 14.
Meanwhile the KKR squad will be arriving to Kolkata from Ahmedabad on Monday night. The two-time champions pulled off an incredible win thanks to Rinku Singh hitting five consecutive sixes off Gujarat Titans pacer Yash Dayal. There were useful contributions from captain Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer as well as KKR successfully chased Gujarat’s target of 205 runs.
The Knight Riders players will be back training at the Eden Gardens from Tuesday evening.
