Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India opener, Wasim Jaffer stepped down as Punjab King's batting coach on the eve of IPL mega auction 2022.

Jaffer showed gratitude towards the Punjab franchise and wished their head coach Anil Kumble good luck for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League.

"Adios, and thank you @PunjabKingsIPL, it’s been a pleasure. Wishing @anilkumble1074 and the team very best for #IPL2022," Jaffer tweeted alongside a picture from a famous Bollywood song Channa Mereya from the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Last year, Jaffer was appointed as chief coach for the Odisha cricket team for two seasons. Jaffer played 31 Tests for India and scored 1944 runs with the highest score of 212.
