Xtra Time Web Desk : As the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2022 knocks on the door, the world of cricket is gearing up for the marquee event that is about to take place on February 12 and 13.

And now, former Australian all rounder Shane Watson has spoken out on who he thinks would be the top buys of this season's mega auction.

The former cricketer who played for CSK, RCB and RR in his illustrious IPL career took to his Twitter handle to pick his top 5 players for the mega auction and stated, "Number one - David Warner. He's got a big point to prove. Dominated the T20 world cup. He's gonna be a big pick."

Moving forward to his second pick, Watson said, "Number two is Mitchell Marsh. He's been a match winner in every game that he's played over the last year. So he's gonna be on fire I believe."

"Number three is Shreyas Iyer. He's such an impressive young batsman. Such an impressive leader…Gosh which IPL team wouldn't want Shreyas ?" said the world cup winning all-rounder about his third pick.

Picking up his fourth option, the IPL 2008 champion added, "Number four is my mate from RCB, Yuzi Chahal. Match winning leg spinner. Can bowl to left and right handers. Takes crucial wickets through the middle. He's gonna be one of the hot picks,'

Concluding his video with the 5th pick, Watson stated, "And number five is fast bowler, South African Kagiso Rabada. Rabada knows how to bowl at death. He bowls through the middle and the top. He's gonna be one of the players that the teams go very hard for to."

It would be really intriguing to see how the Mega Auction goes by this time.
