IPL 2022 Qualifier 1: David Miller, Hardik Pandya takes Gujarat Titans to the final

Xtra Time Web Desk: An unbeaten 68 runs off 38 balls from David Miller helped Gujarat Titans successfully chase 188/6 against Rajasthan Royals to enter the final of IPL 2022. In the Qualifier 1 played in front of a packed Eden Gardens, Hardik Pandya led side defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets on Tuesday night.

Requiring 17 runs to win in the final over bowled by Prasidh Krishna, Miller smashed three sixes off the first three balls to take GT home. He shared an unbeaten 106-run stand for the fourth wicket with captain Hardik Pandya that came in just 61 balls. Pandya too played a responsible knock of 40* off 27 balls.

Earlier, Jos Buttler’s 89 off 56 balls propelled Rajasthan Royals to 188/6 batting first. RR skipper Samson got out after scoring an entertaining 47 off only 26 balls. Rashid Khan bowled extremely well and finished with none for 15 in his full quota of four overs. 

Rajasthan Royals will now face the winner of the Eliminator 1 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday, May 26. The second qualifier will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 27 while the final will be held on May 29.
