On a day when Virat Kohli returned to form with a blazing 53 ball 58 runs against Gujarat Titans, Rohit Sharma's struggle continued in the ongoing edition of IPL. Rohit, who celebrated his 35th birthday was out for only 2 runs.

Kohli scored his first fifty in IPL 2022 and it came after a gap of 14 matches. He looked in a positive mindset as he came out to open the batting with skipper Faf Du Plessis and was seen in great touch. His feet were moving and he played some exquisite cover drives during his knock. Just as he was looking good for a big score, he was undone by a Shami yorker. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma had a very short stay at the crease which lasted only for 4 balls.  The experienced batter didn't look comfortable as he was caught by Daryl Mitchell off the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin.

Although, Virat's team ended up losing the game against Gujarat Titans, but his splendid 58 would surely give him that necessary confidence to perform the way he is known to the world.

Rohit's lack of runs in IPL 2022 has proved to be detrimental to Mumbai Indians as they find themselves at the bottom of the points table. His extended poor form would also be a concern for Team India, as the T20 World Cup in Australia is six months away.

Overall, the day was good for Virat Kohli fans, but not so for the fans of Hitman.
