Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian Premier League (IPL) will be starting from March 26, where Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns. The tournament will be at four stadiums across two cities- Mumbai and Pune.

The Board of Control of Cricket (BCCI) has created bio-bubbles for the tourament which is to be held due to Covid-19.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will host 70 matches this season with the addition of two new teams- Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.

According to BBCCI realease:

  1. All teams will play 4 matches each at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Statium.
  2. All teams will play 3 matches each at Brabourne Stadium (CCI) and MCA International Stadium, Pune.

To decide on the above, teams have been assigned in two virtual groups based on the number of IPL Championships won followed by the number of Final matches played by the respective teams.
