The Royal Challengers Bangalore captain will be looking to go all guns blazing when he takes on the field. Having led India to an incredible series win England in the last two months, Kohli will be focusing on leading RCB to its maiden IPL title. On the personal front Kohli is on the verge of quite a few milestones. Let’s take a look at the milestones Kohli can achieve in this edition of cash rich league.

First batsman to score 6000 runs in IPL

The RCB captain is just 122 runs short of breaching the 6000 runs milestone in IPL. With 5878 runs, Kohli is also the highest run-scorer in IPL. He is followed by Chennai Super King’s Suresh Raina, who has scored 5368 runs in 193 matches. The left hander will be seen in action this season after missing out in the last edition due to personal reasons.

First Indian to score 10000 T20 runs

The Indian captain is 269 runs away from reaching the milestone of 10000 runs in T20 cricket. He will be the first ever Indian batsman to do so. Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is India's second-highest run-scorer in this format with 9065 runs. Jamaican Chris Gayle leads the overall list with 13720 runs.

First RCB player to don 200 IPL caps

Kohli is perhaps the only player in the history of cash rich league to represent just one franchise since the inaugural season in 2008, Kohli can very well become the first player from his franchise to don 200 IPL caps. He has played 192 matches for RCB.

Overall, the list of most capped players in IPL is topped by MS Dhoni. The Chennai Super Kings captain has played 204 matches. He is followed by Rohit Sharma (200), Dinesh Karthik (196) and Suresh Raina (193).
