IPL 2021 : Sourav Ganguly assures that matches in Mumbai to be held as per schedule

States like Maharastra,Karnataka are experiencing unprecedented times as the situation seems to get out of control with each passing day. In the meanwhile 14 th edition of Indian Premier League ( IPL 2021) is being hosted by Six centres across the nation . Maharastra Cricket association is one of the hosting cricket association as matches are being held in Wankhede Staium ,Mumbai.

Incidentally there are 10 matches scheduled to be held in Mumbai. Out of those 2 matches have already been held there and they have managed to host those matches successfully. Recently due to the second wave of corona that is gripping the state of Maharastra the local administration has imposed lockdown like curfew across the state. This made the spectators sceptical about the rest of the remaining matches being held at this venue.

Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has cleared all the doubts about matches being held in Mumbai. He has some good news for all the fans as he declares that matches in Mumbai will be held as per th existing schedule. Sources inside BCCI has said that a curfew like situation in Maharastra is like blessing in disguise for them as this could enable them to successfully stage the remainder of matches.
