IPL 2021: Punjab Kings cricketer under BCCI ACU scanner for this reason

Xtra Time Web Desk: Punjab Kings (PBKS) all rounder Deepak Hooda has been under the scanner of BCCI Anti Corruption Unit (BCCI ACU) for breaching the anti-corruption guidelines. Hooda took to his social media handle instagram to post a  picture of himself with the team helmet around 2pm on the match day against Rajasthan Royals. He wrote: “Here we go @punjabkingsipl #pbksvsrr #ipl2021 #saddapunjab.”

The post attracted the attention of BCCI ACU officials based in UAE. It is learnt the post by Hooda will be examined to see if there is anything suspicious. The BCCI ACU team in UAE is headed by Shabir Hussein Shekhadam.

Speaking to ANI, an ACU official said while the Instagram post missed the team, they will definitely look into it to see if it violates the rules set by the BCCI ACU. “ACU will look into this post. Our restrictions are that there shall not be any talk about the composition of the team,” the official said.
