Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the tentative dates for IPL 2021Phase 2. The remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 will be staged between September 19 and October 10 in UAE. But the biggest headache for BCCI at this moment is the availability of overseas cricketers due to their national commitments. England, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be involved in bi-lateral series. Let’s have a look at some of the big stars who are likely to miss out in IPL 2021 Phase 2.

Eoin Morgan (Kolkata Knight Riders)

The England white ball captain will definitely miss the remaining matches of IPL 2021 for KKR. Morgan, who is also the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders will have to give the IPL 2021 Phase 2 a miss because of the directives from ECB Director of Cricket (men’s cricket) Ashley Giles. According to Giles, none of the England cricketers will be available for IPL 2021 Phase 2.

Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes & Jofra Archer (Rajasthan Royals)

The three big multi format England cricketers Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer will also miss the IPL 2021 Phase 2 because of their national commitments. While Buttler and Stokes will be seen in action for the forthcoming test series against India in August-September, Archer will not be back before the T20 World Cup as he still troubled with his shoulder and might undergo a career threatening surgery. England is also supposed to travel to Bangladesh after the test series against India at home.

Trent Boult (Mumbai Indians)

New Zealand pacer will most likely miss the IPL 2021 because he will be seen playing for BlackCaps in the white ball series against Pakistan which involves 3 ODIs and T20Is. The matches will be played in UAE.

Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan & Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

Sunrisers Hyderabad could be the biggest sufferer with the absence of captain Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan and Jonny Bairstow. New Zealand will be involved in a white ball series against Pakistan and Afghanistan at UAE. England on the other hand will tour Bangladesh.

Moeen Ali, Sam Curran (Chennai Super Kings)

Chennai Super Kings’ stars Sam Curran and Moeen Ali could also face a similar situation like other England cricketers. CSK’s new recruit Moeen Ali proved to be a good addition with his all round ability. And Sam Curran had been a revelation in the last two seasons in IPL. Both of them are certain to miss the rescheduled IPL 2021 because of the national commitments.

England players will be touring Bangladesh while New Zealand and Afghanistan will play limited-overs series against Pakistan.
