IPL 2021: Kiwi cricketers to stay back in India,despite concern about rising corona

Corona situation in India is bad at the moment as with each passing day the number of people infected by Covid-19 keeps on rising. Amidst this situation Indian Premier League (IPL 2021, Indian T-20 League) is going on. Many foreign players are scared of the situation.

Especially many Australian players have left bio-bubble due to this scare and they have flown back to their country. Rajasthan Royals Andrew Tye was the first one followed by Royal Challenger Bangalore’s Kane Richardson and Adam Zampa. Situation is scary for foreign nationals as many countries have put India into ree zone and stopped passenger flights with India.

In this context NZC Players Association chief executive Heath Mills stated the New Zealand cricketers would be staying back in India as of now for the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) .Likes of Kane Williamson, Lockie Ferguson,Kylie Jamieson ,Trent Boult among others are taking part in the franchise T20 league of India.
