Xtra Time Web Desk: Teen fast bowler Kartik Tyagi bowled a sensational final over to hand Rajasthan Royals a thrilling two runs win over Punjab Kings in the IPL 2021 match on Tuesday. Tyagi defended the four runs required by PBKS in the final over as he gave away just two runs and picked two wickets to snatch an incredible win for his franchise. He dismissed Nicholas Pooran (32) and Deepak Hooda (0). Chasing 186 runs to win KL Rahul’s side managed 183/4. With this win, the Royals moved to the fifth spot after four wins from eight matches. Punjab on the other suffered their sixth defeat from 9 matches.

Punjab were cruising in the run chase with openers Mayank Agarwal (67) and KL Rahul putting 120 runs for the first wicket in 11.5 overs. With Aiden Markram (26 not out) and Nicholas Pooran (32) going strong, it looked like it would be only a matter of time when Punjab would wrap up the match. But in the end, Punjab made a mess in the last over to suffer their sixth defeat from nine matches.

Earlier, the 22-year old Arshdeep Singh (5/32) complemented his senior pro Mohammed Shami (3/21) well as the duo shared eight wickets to help Punjab bowl out Rajasthan for 185 in exactly 20 overs after they were going strong at 169 for 5 in 17 overs. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (49) and Mahipal Lomror (43) scored bulk of the runs for Rajasthan. Caribbean batsman Evin Lewis left a mark in his first match for the franchise scoring a quick fire 36 off 21 balls. Both Lewis and Jaiswal gave RR a blazing start as they put 57 runs in the powerplay.

Arshdeep then produced the breakthrough, deceiving Lewis with a slower ball as Mayank Agarwal took a fine low catch. Jaiswal played some great shots, hitting Adil Rashid for a couple of sixes before getting dismissed for 49 runs. Mahipal Lomror played a cameo towards the end, scoring 43 off 17 balls that included two hits to the fence and four sixes.
