IPL 2021: Good news for RCB as Padikkal joins training after testing negative for COVID-19 twice

Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a huge relief for Royal Challengers Bangalore, rising star and opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal has returned to training after testing negative for COVID-19. Padikkal tested negative twice of the dreaded virus during the isolation period.

In a video posted by the franchise on their twitter handle, the youngster said that he is healthy, feeling lot better and raring to go. He thanked everyone for their wishes and messages after recovering from COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Aussie all-rounder Daniel Sams has tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. Sams had tested negative while joining the squad but has tested positive in the 2nd Test. The development comes a couple of days ahead of the IPL 2021 opener where RCB will face off defending champions Mumbai Indians in Chennai on April 09.
