IPL 2021: Dre Russ, Narine check in at Kolkata Knight Rider’s den

Xtra Time Web Desk: Kolkata Knight Rider’s Caribbean duo Andre Russell and Sunil Narine reached India in the wee hours of Tuesday. The duo will be quarantining themselves at the team hotel for the next seven days. Both of them flew in from the Caribbean to Mumbai via USA, and had a message for the fans at the end of the long journey they took here.

“Whenever you think about the IPL, you think about India,” said Narine, reflecting on playing the tournament in UAE last season. “So, it’s great to be back. Hopefully, we can have a better season than last year.”

“We are closer to you guys now, the games are in India,” Russell addressed the fans. “whether you guys are watching from home or the stands, we will be representing Purple and Gold. Now is the time when we are going to do what we do best, because we know the bubble. We’re used to this situation, our mindset is already planned for this. Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo.”

Narine concluded by saying, “Keep supporting us, no matter what the situation. We are going to go out there and give our best, Hopefully this year is the year to bring back the Title.”
