IPL 2021 : Brian Lara advices Dhoni to take some rest in between
Xtratime Web Desk : Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the best ever Captain India have ever produced. His trophy cupboard is absolutely full. Not a single trophy missing from his cabinet. In the year 2020 he decided to hang up his 'international' shoe but he still continues to play T-20 cricket for his franchise Chennai Super Kings. His franchise Chennai Super Kings has regained form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) after losing their first match.
But dhoni is still struggling with his own form with the bat. He has only scored 18 runs from the 2 innings he has played so far. Against Rajasthan Royals he failed to score from his first 6 deliveries. But later on scored with 100+ strike rate which is still below par considering today's fast paced cricket.
Legendary Caribbean batsman Brian Lara who is currently doing work for the broadcasters has some advice for Dhoni. Lara says " I feel Dhoni is still fit. He is keeping wicket beautifully. Everybody expects him to score big. That is quite natural. Chennai has got depth in their batting so I feel a little bit of rest will do world of good to him."
