Subhabrata Mukherjee :- On Sunday cricket fans witnessed the first ever super over played in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL 2021,Indian T-20 League). In a thriller played in Chennai Rishabh Pant's men edged out Sunrisers Hyderabad. It was a match well fought between two teams with different fortunes in the ongoing IPL. Now lets take a look at what we think is the 5 talking points from the match.




Prithvi Shaw half century:-


Right handed young India opener Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi a solid start as he along with senior Pro Shikhar Dhawan (28) put on 81 runs for the first wicket. Shaw scored a well crafted half century. He scored 53 runs from just 39 balls.



Pant,Smith partnership took Delhi past 150 run mark :


Delhi captain Rishabh Pant along with Australian Steven Smith ensured that their team get past 150 run mark. Pant scored 37 runs from 27 balls while Smith scored 34 runs from 25 balls.



Jonny Bairstow blinder :-

English Wicket keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow was again at his brutal best with the bat. He scored a quickfire 38 runs from just 19 balls. After David Warner was out early he took the responsibility to attack the opposition bowling in powerplay overs.



Kane Williamson steered his side through :-


Calm and cool headed Kiwi Captain Kane Williamson again showed his worth with the bat for Hyderabad as he played a crucial knock of 66 runs not out from just 52 balls to ensure that match ends in a tie.



Avesh Khan bowled well :-



Avesh Khan is the find of the tournament for Delhi at the moment. The right handed pacer took 3 crucial Hyderabad wickets to put a break in bowling. He returned with a figure of 4-0-34-3. Bairstow,Virat Singh and Vijay Shankar all fell to him.
