XtraTime Web Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli booked a separate flight from Mumbai to travel to Dubai for the upcoming 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). While his teammates flew from Bengaluru, Kohli decided to fly out from Mumbai so as to not risk himself by travelling to the Garden City.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Kohli had followed all the necessary health protocols before flying to Dubai.

“He (Kohli) had quarantined himself in Mumbai and also tested himself for Covid-19. So he could not come to Bangalore. He flew alone by a charter flight from Mumbai,” the spokesperson has been quoted by the paper.

Kohli reached the Waldorf hotel in Dubai, the base for the RCB team during the IPL by evening. The franchise posted the arrival picture on its social media handles.

A dedicated block of the hotel has been booked for the team with all the 155 rooms booked. The floor has exclusive access to facilities like team rooms, gymnasium and dining room without disturbing the other guests.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore squad comprises of 40-members including 21 players, five net bowlers, two throw-down specialists and two personnel. Also included in the list is sports psychologist Chaitanya Sridhar and team doctor Charles Minz who have been looking after players’ mental health since March.
