IPL 2020: MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings will be the first team to reach UAE

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be the first team to reach UAE to take part in the IPL. The MS Dhoni led franchise will travel to UAE in the second week of August with an eye to have a training camp at the ICC academy. The inspirational CSK captain has been spending time with family at his farmhouse during the lockdown. He did attend the camp organized by the franchise before the lockdown but had to return to his hometown as the coronavirus pandemic was starting to spread.

This year’s edition of IPL will be the 13th and will be held in UAE from September 19 to November 08. The IPL Governing Council will meet next week to discuss the format, schedule and fixtures. It is learnt the tournament will be spread over a period of 51 days with the final slated on November 08. According to sources there will few double headers (i.e., only 5). The evening matches will be start at 7:30pm IST. There will be no home and away fixture as the matches will be held in UAE. The official announcement on the fixture, format and timing will be made public very soon.
