XtraTime Web Desk: Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday announced the signing of Mobile Premier League (MPL), the gaming & Esports company, as the principal sponsor for the upcoming 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) to be played in UAE from September 19 to November 10.The company will also sponsor the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2020).

Talking about the association, KKR CEO & MD Venky Mysore said, “We are very excited to partner with MPL, which is a vibrant Indian start-up company promoted and run by a group of young and innovative people, in Esports and Gaming, that is bound to grow significantly. Our partnership across KKR in IPL and TKR in CPL, will create new opportunities to socialize and activate our partnership.”

CPL is scheduled to start on August 18, 2020 and conclude on September 10, 2020 in Trinidad, which will feature three time champions, Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and five other teams. While the IPL is scheduled to start on September 19, 2020 in UAE and conclude on Nov 10, 2020, which will feature two time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and seven other teams.
