XtraTime Web Desk: It was a rare sight at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday during the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians match. Kane Williamson was seen rolling his arm during the 9th over of the MI innings, much to the surprise of his fans. The last time the BlackCaps captain rolled his arm in the Indian Premier League was way back in 2016 when he bowled just the one over.

SRH skipper David Warner decided to throw the ball at Williamson as Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock were threatening to take the match away with a huge partnership. With both the left-handed batsmen in the middle, SRH skipper David Warner decided to introduce Kane Williamson into the attack, much to the surprise of the viewers.

Williamson, if one remembers was banned by ICC for suspect bowling action during the Test match against Sri Lanka in August. He was later cleared by the ICC to bowl in November. Williamson underwent a change in his bowling action and was subsequently permitted by the ICC to bowl.
As far as Kane Williamson’s performance with the ball is concerned, he failed to keep a lid on the run-scoring rate. The Kiwi cricketer conceded 24 runs including 17 in the second over of his spell.
