XtraTime Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings experienced spinner Harbhajan Singh will not travel to Dubai with the squad on Friday, August 21. The CSK squad will be travelling to UAE for the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) which gets underway from September 19. It is learnt that the veteran spinner has expressed his unwillingness to travel with the squad to the team management in order to be beside his mother who is not keeping well. He is most likely to join the squad in two weeks time. The Turbanator also missed the short CSK camp held in Chepauk from August 16 along with Shardul Tahkur and Ravindra Jadeja. Both Thakur and Jadeja are expected to travel with the squad to UAE.

The Yellow Army had a fruitful camp at the Chepauk with senior pros like captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Piyush Chawla attending it. As per reports Dhoni has expressed his satisfaction with the pitches provided by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA). Two pitches- red soil and clay- were put forth for the preparations. The training camp is set to end on Thursday.

“The red soil is a typical Chepauk wicket which has a bit of turn while the clay wicket is a little greenish suited for pacers. Dhoni was really impressed with the wickets,” a source was quoted as saying in The Times of India (TOI).

The IPL 2020 is scheduled to start in UAE from September 19 across three venues in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The 53 day league will conclude on November 10.
