XtraTime Web Desk: The schedule of the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is likely to be finalized this week. The cash rich league this season will take place in UAE starting next month from September 19. The 53 day event will culminate on November 10.

With just three weeks remaining the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to release the schedule. The primary reason being the delay in getting the confirmation from the concerned authorities to stage the cash rich league in UAE. A delegation of the BCCI officials led by IPL Governing Council Chairman Brijesh Patel is in UAE now to do a recee of the venues and hotels and also have high level meetings with Government officials. Once they meet all the concerned authorities, they will be better placed to release the schedule for IPL 2020.

Currently the IPL GC members along with event managers IMG team is in UAE to finalize all that is required for the smooth conduct of the world’s most lucrative cricket league. The BCCI team is also scheduled to meet local officials and authorities to finalize everything.
