XtraTime Web Desk: Former Indian all-rounder , Irfan Pathan has posted a cryptic tweet on his official twitter handle after Chennai Super Kings lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) encounter on Friday. Chennai Super Kings took on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Matchday 14 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).

Winning the toss and electing to bat first SRH were in a big trouble after losing their top 4 batsmen quickly. However, Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma’s  gritty partnership helped SRH reach a challenging total. Chennai Super Kings seemed out of place throughout their chase and lost the game by 7 runs eventually.

The CSK skipper MS Dhoni seemed to be struggling in the chase and it seemed as if age has just got the better of him now. After the game, Irfan Pathan has come up with a very cryptic tweet.

On Saturday, Irfan Pathan took to Twitter and wrote, “Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be dropped…”

After this tweet, the fans are bewildered as to who this tweet is meant for. A lot of people are saying that Irfan Pathan has taken a dig at MS Dhoni for his poor performance in the Hyderabad game. It was a heart-wrenching scene to see MS Dhoni struggling to catch hold of his breath in the dying overs of the game.

Irfan has his reasons to get angry with Dhoni. The former India all-rounder last played any game for the Men in Blue in 2012 when he was just 28 years of age. In an interaction, Irfan also shared this regret."People start their career when they are 27-28 and then go on to play till 35. When I was 27, I had taken 301 international wickets, so that was it. That is the only regret I have," said Irfan.

Dhoni was the captain of Indian cricket team at that time in all three formats, so one can easily understand why Irfan is angry with captain cool. In IPL 2016, Pathan was a part of the Rising Pune Supergiants squad and in that year he only play in two matches and got just one over to bowl. Previous to that season for Chennai Super Kings, he did not get a match at all. In both occasions, Dhoni was his captain.
