XtraTime Web Desk: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Rashid Khan has thrived season after season in the Indian Premier League. The Afghanistan leg spinner on Monday reached the milestone of fifty wickets (52) in the cash rich league. The Sunrisers leg spinner Rashid Khan once again bowled a brilliant spell to help his side win by 45 runs against Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) clash at Hyderabad on Monday. Rashid’s spell read as 4-21-3. Rashid, who first made an appearance in the IPL in 2017, picked 17 wickets from 14 matches. The following year he was the second highest wicket taker in the league taking 21 wickets from 17 matches. The leg spinner has so far picked 14 wickets in 12 matches. He has taken 52 wickets so far from 43 matches with an average of 21.04 and an impressive economy rate of 6.54. He was on a hat-trick removing David Miller and Ravichandran in successive balls. Both Miller and Ashwin tried to hit him into the stands but were caught in the deep by Vijay Shankar and Manish Pandey respectively. He also took the wicket of Mayank Agarwal. The leg spinner from Afghanistan came back strongly after getting thrashed in the last match against Chennai Super Kings where he went for 44 runs in his four overs. “First of all I want to thank the mighty Allah for helping me to take three wickets. It was a little bit tough to get hit in the last match. I just went back and assessed where I went wrong. I had a little chat with the coaching staff. I thought I bowled a little bit fuller and that’s why I was punished. I just tried to bowl a good length delivery and mix it up for the batsman. That’s what I was trying today,” said Rashid after the match.
