Xtra Time Web Desk: Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting on Thursday admitted that there is not much you can do seating in the dugout during an Indian Premier League match. Ponting, who is now in his second season as the coach of the Delhi Capitals feel, “It’s different when you are playing because you can always feel you can do something about it. But when you are seating on a bench it’s not much you can do. You can only hope that the players can get the job done for you.” Delhi Capitals have had a mixed bag so far in IPL 2019, winning two and losing two so far. “We started well in Mumbai, an away game there against a pretty good team at their home. We came here and lost a close game to Chennai . Won a super over against Kolkata and then let one slip the other night at home. I think we dominated for 35-36 overs of the game but we didn’t get the job done,” said Ponting. The World Cup winning Australian captain feel it is the same principle which is followed while picking the playing XI for a franchise compared to the national team. “I look at it probably the same way we use to talk with our world cup teams. I think having the right balance of youth and experience is quite important.” said Ponting. Talking about the Delhi Capitals squad, Ponting said,” We have got a good mix of experienced and young players. Shikhar at the top, Ishant Sharma, Chris Morris and Rabada are all very experienced players.” “Even some of our younger guys – Shreyas Iyer and Risabh Panth, although they are quite young on paper but they are quite experienced. We don’t look at our team being very young. I think we have got a very good mix of youth and experience,” signed off Ponting.
