IPL 2019: MS Dhoni fans will be concerned to hear this

XtraTime Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings Captain MS Dhoni on Tuesday expressed his concerns with his dodgy back that has troubled him in recent times. With the ICC Cricket World Cup a little over a month away, the two time World Cup winning captain is extra cautious with his back.

“The back is holding up, it’s not getting worse, with the World Cup coming up, can’t afford that, because that’s too important,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony after CSK’s win over SRH at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday.

With so much of cricket being played these days, an international cricketer finds it difficult to manage his injuries.
“If it becomes worse, I certainly take some time off but at this level you play with some niggle or the other. Because if you wait to get fully fit, then there will be a gap of five years between two matches,” said Dhoni.

The former India captain has been troubled with his back for the last one year. He has been seen lying down for some assistance while batting during the series against Australia at home. Indian captain Virat Kohli will be hoping that he has a fit MS Dhoni during the World Cup in England starting from May 30.
