During last night’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) clash against Kings XI Punjab, Kohli gave an objectionable send off to Ravichandran Ashwin at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Kings XI Punjab captain was caught in the deep by his counterpart, trying to clear the fence. Ashwin had hit the earlier ball for a six. The RCB captain pretended to do a Mankad after taking the catch which did not do down well among the netizens. It was totally uncalled for Kohli to behave in such a manner against his test teammate. Everyone in world cricket admires the passion Kohli brings in to the game but at times he gets too expressive with his actions, inviting strong criticism. Reacting to the incident later at the post-match press conference Ashwin said, “I just played with passion, so does he (Virat). That’s it. As simple as that.” Kohli, on the other hand, seemed happy to see his team on the winning side. “We won 4 out of the last 5 we have played; it could have been 5 out of 5. We are just looking to enjoy our cricket. Tonight was another example of having fun. Our only focus was to play good cricket as a team, we know that we are a good side, losing 6 in a row hurt all of us. That big break before Mohali helped us,” signed off Kohli. This is how the fans reacted to Kohli’s on-field behaviour:
