IPL 2019: Bravo,Bhajji warn Mumbai Indians ahead of high voltage final

XtraTime Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets on Friday to reach the final of Indian Premier League for the eighth time in twelve seasons. After their win CSK skipper MS Dhoni lauded their spinners for their remarkable show throughout the season as well. Later during a chat with Dwayne Bravo, veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh talked about their easy win against Delhi. While talking he asked Bravo about his classic catch to dismiss Delhi Capitals most destructive player Rishabh Pant, which can be mentioned as the turning point of the game.

“Well it is good that I can move around at this age. Obviously, a lot of people think at this age that we can’t move. It was a crucial moment in the game. Rishabh Pant, one of the most dangerous players in the IPL, so it was good to get him out at that point,” Bravo told iplt20.com.

“I was a bit off the boundary and the ball was rising,” Bravo added, to which Harbhajan responded, “Glad you were fielding there and not me.”

Harbhajan, who has played a majority of his career for MI, and Bravo, who likewise has played a lot of his career for CSK, were together at Mumbai Indians between 2008 and 2010 and have been dawning the yellow jersey since 2018 together.

“We are playing Mumbai Indians, one of the first franchises we played together. What are your thoughts on that?,” Harbhajan asked Bravo.

“I think we are the two best teams in the tournament and we deserve to be in the final. I personally was looking forward to the clash. Obviously, both teams played very well throughout the season. I don’t there can be a better final than Mumbai and Chennai,” Bravo said.

Bravo then decided to turn the tables on Bhajji and asked him “How was your bowling today?”

“I was very happy with the way I bowled. I would like to share with all of you that when I started bowling ion the nets in Chennai, Bravo told me that you bowling too slow. He just told me to push a little more, and that was the right kind of advice. Obviously, you play a lot of cricket and I didn’t play throughout the year… so thank you for the advise, it really helped me,” Harbhajan, who on Friday became only the 4th bowler in IPL history to take 150 wickets, said.
