"As it was his team's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh," an IPL press release said.   In a high-octane clash in Bengaluru, the hosts failed to defend a mammoth target of 206 against their southern rivals CSK. Ambati Rayudu (82) and MS Dhoni (70*) played crucial hands to take the visitors past the finishing line with two balls to spare.   With the RCB captain and bowlers taking time to plan strategies in a crucial game, the home side struggled to complete the overs within the time period.   It was Kohli's first offence of the season. However, there have been instances of teams not completing their quota of overs in the allotted time. In fact, out of the 24 matches played so far, only two have been bowled on or within the stipulated time. The average time taken after the specified (200 minutes) time period to finish a game is 18.67 minutes and RCB took more time than that to complete their quota of overs.
