XtraTime Web Desk: Sun Risers Hyderabad clinches a comfortable victory against Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets in their first match of VIVO IPL 2018. Rajasthan just managed to score 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Sanju Samson scored 49 runs in 42 balls while Bangladeshi all rounder Shakib Al Hasan bowled very well and picked two wickets. Siddarth Kaul also got two wickets by giving 23 runs in his 4 overs.

In reply Hyderabad wasn’t in a very comfortable position as they lost their opener Wriddhiman Saha in the second over. The wicket keeper batsman managed to add just 5 runs on the board but, Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Kane Williamson did the task easily. Dhawan scored 77 in 57 deliveries and the skipper scored 36 in 35 balls to secure the victory. Dhawan was dropped by Ajinkya Rahane at the slips.

Jaydev Unadkat got the only wicket of Saha by giving 28 runs in just 3 overs. Aussie spinner D Arcy Short bowled well as he conceded 9 runs in 2 overs. English all rounder Ben Stokes failed to perform with the ball as he was the most expensive bowler for RR. He gave 21 runs in his 2 overs.
