XtraTime Web Desk: Brilliant bowling performance lead Royal Challengers Bangalore to register a thumping 10-wicket victory against Kings XI Punjab in Indore by today.
Indian cricket team’s star bowler Umesh Jadav took 3 wickets against the hosts helped RCB to restrict KXIP to a lean total of 88. Umesh took both the wickets of KXIP’s destructive openers Chris Gayle and KL Rahul to break their top order.
Though, KL Rahul put up a fight by scoring 21 runs. Later on Aaron Finch tried to repair the damage but failed as he scored 26 runs.
Not only with the ball RCB was very good in their fielding department as they ran out three batsmen of KXIP. Punjab skipper R. Ashwin, Ankit Rajpoot and Mohit Sharma were among them.
Skipper Virat Kohli and Parthi Patel started the innings for RCB to finish things of very early and they managed to do so as well. RCB reached their target in just 8.1 overs with ten wickets in hand. Virat scored 48 and Parthiv got 40 runs respectively.
It wasn’t a very good bowling performance either by the bowlers of KXIP as Marcus Stoinis, Mohit Sharma and Ankit Rajput were very expensive with the ball.
