Kolkata: Except the ongoing season veteran Bengal bowler Ashok Dinda was a part of Indian Premier League since 2008. Though he is not playing in this season’s IPL but he is doing Bengali commentary. Beside him, former cricketer Saradindu Mukherjee had a close look at the games of Kolkata Knight Riders as well. They both have analyzed KKR’s performance in this season.

Ashok Dinda: According to me Kolkata Knight Riders have played really well in this season. All the teams used to build their squad according to the pitch of their home ground, but KKR faced huge problem at first regarding this matter as they did get the service of ace pacer Mitchell Starc and Kamlesh Nagarkotti. Later they come out of the problem thanks to their star spin trio of Piyush Chawla, Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav.

Beside that I want to tell about Dinesh Karthik. He is not only a good captain but also a great wicketkeeper as well. He can finish a game just like Dhoni. Overall if they got the services of their star bowlers they would have finished at number 1.

Saradindu Mukherjee: I am not at all happy with the performance of KKR this season. They almost lost the Eliminator against Rajasthan a couple of days back. If Rahane didn’t throw his wicket, RR could have won the game with an ease and that’s why I will say KKR didn’t won that game, Rajasthan lost it. But I am very happy with Dinesh Karthik’s performance this year. He has the ability of finishing the game hust like Mahendra Singh Dhoni. While chasing his strike rate is 151 which is amazing.

According to me KKR should release Robin Uthappa next season and they should pick a good all-rounder in his place. KKR will get the services of Mitchell Starc and Kamlesh Nagarkoti next season and if they don’t face any injury it will be a destructive bowling line up.
