IPL 2018: KKR produces another stellar performance, wins the eliminator with ease

Kolkata: Top effort by Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers hand KKR an easy 25-run win against Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator today at the Eden Gardens today. They will now face SunRisers Hyderabad in the second playoffs in a couple of day’s time at the same venue.

Earlier winning the toss RR sent the home side team to bat first. While batting they didn’t get a good start as KKR were reduced to 24 for 3 at one stage. In the most important match of the season skipper Dinesh Karthik (52) and Andre Russell (49*) held the innings together to take the score to 169 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. K Gowtham and Jofra Archer both shared a couple of wickets. In reply Rajasthan got off to a filer as they were on 109 for 2 at one stage. Ajinkya Rahane (46) and Sanju Samson (50) were the top scorer for the side, but KKR spinners pulled the things back in KKR’s favour. Piyush Chawla took two wickets and Narine and Kuldeep picked a wicket each.
