Image Source: iplclub.com[/caption] Internet Desk: The Indian Premier League has come under scanner again after three people were arrested by the Kanpur Police for connection with online cricket betting. According to some inside reports, police is suspecting that two Gujarat Lions players are also a part of this racket. The BCCI issued a press-release that Indian cricket board’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) had also tracked these three suspect before they were arrested by the police. “The Anti-Corruption Unit of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been tracking activities of certain individuals, as a result of which, three suspects were arrested in Kanpur, on Thursday,” the release said. “Following this operation, the Uttar Pradesh Police Crime Branch could successfully foil the alleged betting attempts of the accused. This was an outcome of the ACU of the BCCI, having worked closely with various law enforcement agencies, who will continue further investigations, in this matter,” it added. According to the media reports, the Kanpur police thinks that two Gujarat Lions cricketer might be involved in this case too. Police arrested the suspects from the same hotel where Gujarat Lions and Delhi Daredevils were staying during an IPL match. The police seized an amount of 41 lakh, the report added. The people arrested were identified as Ramesh Nayan Shah, a businessman from Thane in Maharashtra, and local residents Ramesh Kumar and Vikas Kumar.
