International Friendlies: Messi scores five goals as Argentina thrash Estonia 5-0

Xtra Time Web Desk: Lionel Messi is going through the form of his life as the Argentina captain scored all the five goals in his side’s 5-0 drubbing over Estonia in an International Friendly on Sunday. It is the second time in his career Messi has scored five in a game. Last time he scored 5 goals in a match was against Bayer Leverkusen.

Messi scored his first goal from a spot kick in the 8th minute. The talisman scored his second at the stroke of half time when Papu Gómez picked him out inside the area and he picked out the far corner with ease.  

Messi claimed his eighth international hat-trick 68 seconds after the interval when a cross from the right was steered into the net by the PSG forward. He added another goal in the 71st minute before scoring his fifth of the night five minutes later

The win  now takes Argentina’s unbeaten run to 33 games without a loss for them. Their next match is against Brazil on Saturday.
