XtraTime Web Desk: India’s winning run came to an end as New Zealand beat the hosts 2-1. India was never in position to win the match. India made seven changes in the squad before going into the final. Though skipper Sunil Chhetri gave the initial lead to the men in blues as he darted towards the Kiwi goalkeeper Micheal Cornelis who made a blunder the deflection went to the back of the net.
Just a couple of minute after India scored the Kiwi’s equalised Andre Jong scored as Indian origin midfielder Sarpreet Singh provided a beautiful through ball.
The midfielders failed to control the ball. Salam Ranjan Singh was terrible in defense.
In the 86th minute Moses Dyer scored from a through ball for New Zealand. Sarpreet got the Hero of the match award.
