Indrajith’s ton saves the Reds from blushes

Internet Desk: The second match of Duleep Trophy saw India Red lock horns with India Blue. Batting first the reds put up a good show as they ended Day 1 at 291-9. A lone stand out performance from Baba Indrajith helped the team reach a commendable position as he ended the day unbeaten on 120.

After a good performance from openers Panchal and Sudip Chatterjee scoring 36 and 34 respectively, the reds suffered a major batting collapse when the middle order batsmen failed to pile runs for the team.

A brilliant 120 with 12 fours and 2 sixes sees Indrajith taking the reins of his team. He is currently sharing a partnership with Vijay Gohil who is unbeaten at 22.

As for the bowling side is concerned, Ankit Rajpoot scalped three important wickets while Jaydev Unadkat bagged two. Suresh Raina and Manoj Tiwary both claimed a wicket each.
