She got the player of the match as well as the player of the series award and India won the series 3-1. Mithali Raj showed the importance of staying at the wicket. She managed to adjust herself to the pace of the pitch and attacked thereafter and scored 62 runs in 50 deliveries Jemima Rodrigues helped her by scoring 44 runs and posted total of 166 runs in the twenty overs. South African innings ended in 18 overs as they managed to score just 112 runs and lost all the wickets. Shikha Pandey and veterain Rumeli Dhar picked three wickets each to break the Proteas innings. Marizanne Kapp is the highest scorer for the hosts as she managed to score 27 runs. Chloe Tryon scored 25 which are second highest in the Proteas scorecard. Rumeli came back strongly after a long gap as India’s top speed star Jhulan Goswami ruled out of the series due to his injury. This is the first time when Indian eves won a series in South Africa. Indian players like Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman congratulated the team in tweeter. Indian team is in great form since the World Cup as they became runners in the tournament. Earlier, Mitali Raj led the team to win the ODI series against Proteas 2-1 and now T20 team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led the team to get the victory in T20 series.
