Indian cricket team to play two additional T20Is during the tour to Caribbean in July

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has agreed to Cricket West Indies’ request to add two additional T20 matches to the upcoming West Indies tour, which was originally scheduled for two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20s. The series is part of the International Cricket Council’s Future Tours Program (FTP), with the two Tests forming part of the ICC World Test Championships 2023-25.

The long tour is expected to begin on July 10-12 with the two-match Test series and conclude with a five-match T20 series in August.

It remains uncertain whether senior players such as Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma will participate in the T20s, given the selectors will need to consider the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the US.

In addition to the West Indies tour, the Indian team is also scheduled to travel to Ireland in August to play a three-match series, as previously announced by Cricket Ireland.

After the tour to Ireland, Rohit and his boys will play Asia Cup in September followed by a three match ODI series against Australia.
