Indian cricket team not provided five-star hotel like Australian team in Brisbane | T20 World Cup 2022

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team is not happy with the accommodation provided by International Cricket Council and Cricket Australia. Rohit and his boys are staying in 4-star accommodation while hosts Australian cricket team are enjoying five-star facilities.

The Indian team is staying in Rydges, a 4-star hotel in Brisbane. The Men in Blue checked in at the hotel on Saturday evening. They arrived from Perth where they were having a preparatory camp.

Normally for ICC events, the accommodation is arranged by the ICC in coordination with the local cricket body. But unfortunately, the hotel provided to the Indian team is not five-star category compared to the one where Australia and Pakistan team are staying in.

Meanwhile, the Indian team has a rigorous training session at the Gabba on Sunday. Rohit and his boys will take on hosts Australia in the first warm up game at the Gabba on Monday, October 17.

The Indian team will also play another warm up game against New Zealand on October 19, before travelling to Melbourne for their first match of the ongoing T20 World Cup against arch rivals Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
